Here’s what we do…
Mission is a pretty complicated business of volunteering and it is overwhelming for ANY individual or church to try and plan on their own. With 1000 glories, we make it easy! We’ll take care of everything from start to finish. Every resource you will need, we’ve got. We’ll take care of booking, traveling, lodging, food, etc. We will train you to make sure you are prepared for mission to the country of your choice and our SON Ministry Staff will even go with your mission group to guide you every step of the way! It has never been easier to get you or your church plugged into Mission this summer. Even the experienced short-term missionaries will appreciate the convenience we provide.
Open the doors…
Mission is NOT about suffering (check mission faq for details). Mission is about salvation, compassion, and being a blessing to those that may never have another chance of being blessed. It is FUN, rewarding, and an indescribable blessing to the person and those around him/her. Discover the true you and the vision God has for your life. By serving God and putting your entire faith in Him, He will reveal His power and plan. Most of the teenagers that come with us have a life-changing experience which they never forget. Most go more than once. Some to the same country, others to different ones. Mission is truly one of the best experiences you will cherish for a lifetime and will equip you for whatever life you may live in the future.
What is mission?
Mission is a cross-cultural evangelism and a fulfillment of the Great Commission. It’s you leaving your comfort zone and going to a different culture to share God’s love.
Who can go?
If you are a born-again Christian, 13 years of age, and a legal residence, you not only CAN go, you SHOULD go! Anyone desiring to discover God’s will in their lives, wanting to see God working, and to practice faith should go.
Do I have to eat bugs?
Very rarely would you have to eat a bug that is IF you ever have that opportunity at all. On mission, you get to try authentic cuisines of the country of your choice. You get to try all kinds of food (most of which are delicious). Some countries may offer a more unfamliiar food than others. For example: Indonesia & Sri Lanka offers Curry-based food. Kenya eats goats. Most of which are delicious and would cost $20 or more at any local restaurant here in the U.S. That’s right, people pay big bucks to eat the stuff you’re about to eat.
Will I suffer?
Mission brings exciting challenges and obstacles. It has its share of hardships but nothing people can’t handle. It is very @Jerry Rice Womens Jersey adventurous and relaxing knowing that God is with you. It will put you out of your usual comfort zone but it’s really fun to do what they do in their country. It is a learning experience unlike any other.
How do I know if I’m ready?
The fact that you’re asking, you are! God does not choose the equipped but equips the chosen. We will get you started, train you, make you ready, and then send you out, and we’ll be there every step of the way until the very end when you get home. How do I get started?
After prayer, get your parent’s (church recommendation required later). If you can, bring your church team. Verify your legal status, pick a country, and contact us. As simple as that. We will guide you every step of the way from thereforth.
I see only asians in the pictures. Is this only for asians?
SON Ministry has sent members of other races. We do not discriminate by race. All races are welcome to apply.
Will someone be there with us on Mission?
Absolutely! There will be a 1000 Glories Missionary who has been an active missionary in that country and a SON Ministry staff leading your group. So at least TWO staff members will be with you.
How much does a Mission cost?
Haiti trip cost will be $1,200. If someone support airticket fee $600 for your trip, pay $600 only.
Average cost of a short-term mission ranges from $2,300 – $3,100. Now, calm down. We know this number turns away many faithful brothers and sisters right away but God will provide the finance. We will teach you how to write sponsor letters and offer some fundraising ideas for you. Don’t worry, give God your finance and watch your faith work. Money is never a problem on mission.
